1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can return used batteries to a local collection point or to a retailer. We are also obliged as a distributor to take back used batteries, but this obligation is limited to the types of batteries we currently sell or have sold as new batteries. You can return used batteries of this kind to us sufficiently stamped by post or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the legal notice.
2. Meaning of battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005% mercury, 0.002% cadmium or 0.004% lead by mass, the chemical symbol of the respective pollutant is shown beneath the bin symbol – "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.
